BACKGROUND ON MEMORIES OF THE AFTERLIFE
Edited by Michael Newton, PhD, the 32 client case studies in this book were written by colleagues of mine — many of whom I met when we were trained and certified to lead Life Between Lives sessions by Dr. Newton and his faculty five years ago at the Newton Institute for Life Between Lives Hypnotherapy.
Through the development of his own hypnotic age regression technique, Dr. Newton discovered that it is possible to take clients beyond their past-life experiences to uncover a more meaningful immortal soul existence between lives.
His 40 years of research with more than 8,000 clients resulted in Journey of Souls in 1994 and Destiny of Souls in 2000. Both best sellers broke new ground in metaphysical research.
Even though these people came from different backgrounds and cultures, the clients reported the same details of a Spirit World that they called home. It did not matter whether they were atheists, held dogmatic religious views or fell somewhere in between. They recounted memories of an afterlife that is surprisingly uniform in order and purpose.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A LIFE BETWEEN LIVES (LBL) SESSION?
During an LBL session, you enter a state of deep hypnosis and are taken into the Spirit World. Once there, you personally meet your Spirit Guide, your Soul Cluster Group and, most importantly, you can seek guidance from your own Council of Elders about any problems, issues or concerns in your present lifetime. You can also visit the Place of Body Selection and find out why you chose your present body.
You are the one asking the questions and you are the one getting the answers and sharing them with me. Plus I am asking many additional questions designed to make the LBL even more profound and meaningful to you.
WHY CLIENTS CHOOSE TO HAVE AN LBL SESSION
Some people are curious about their spiritual life. Many others have very personal reasons — trying to understand the loss of a child, or an emotional or heath concern, a relationship issue or fear of dying.
The knowledge you gain from an LBL session can ease your mind. You discover that life is not governed by fate or determinism, or some sort of divine punishment.
Here are three of many examples:
- A client wanted to find out if he is on the right path as well as discover his life's purpose and gain insight into specific questions about his career, family and important life changes.
- Another was grieving the passing of a loved one. During the session, she made contact with the deceased in the Spirit World, found out how he was doing now and why he chose to die when he did. For her this was a very healing — bringing closure and acceptance so she could move on in her life.
- A recent client wanted to get to know her guides, to be able to re-visualize them in her mind so she could call them and feel their energy. During our session, she was able to lock that connection into her mind so she could recall it whenever she desires to have their support or reassurance.

This gives you experience of working in the hypnotic state, enables you to resolve current problems or concerns that may be past-life related and serves as an excellent jumping off point for the LBL.
